Raging Buffalo Glass is a glass shop run by Charles “Chip” Hall, a master glassblower with three decades of experience. Specializing in unique made-to-order pieces, he also opens his studio at McGuffey Art Studio to the public for lessons and annual holiday ornament blowing.
Glassblowing Lessons
Raging Buffalo Glass offers project-focused private lessons, customized to the student’s interests and needs. At the end of one month, students will be able to learn how to make a bowl, a vase, or a glass. The goal is to teach students how to blow glass so they can blow glass anywhere.
Lessons cover the basics such as gathering, shaping, sculpting, and safety. The tools and materials are all included, and classes are held in the Raging Buffalo Glass shop, in the basement of McGuffey Art Center in downtown Charlottesville.
We offer one month of classes: 4 three-hour evenings,once a week for a month (12 hours of instruction) for $350 dollars per person.
