Raging Buffalo Glass is a glass shop run by Charles “Chip” Hall, a master glassblower with three decades of experience. Specializing in unique made-to-order pieces, he also opens his studio at McGuffey Art Studio to the public for lessons and annual holiday ornament blowing.
Charles “Chip” Hall
Originally from the Finger Lakes region of New York, Chip began his career working in metal: machining, casting, forging, and jewelry making. This background gave him insight into how temperature affects different materials.
Rather than working with molds, he prefers working with the material as it works itself. His pieces retain the qualities they have when the glass is molten: oceanic, fluid, and alive.
He was chosen by the Artisan Center of Virginia as the 2014 State Ambassador of Glass.
