Raging Buffalo Glass is a glass shop run by Charles “Chip” Hall, a master glassblower with three decades of experience. Specializing in unique made-to-order pieces, he also opens his studio at McGuffey Art Studio to the public for lessons and annual holiday ornament blowing.

The furnace is a welcome source of heat. Chip’s canine companion and chaperone, B, naps on the coach. And nearly 500 completely unique ornaments are created by visitors, all of whom contribute to the camaraderie and fellowship that Raging Buffalo Glass is best known for.
For over 20 years during the holiday season, Chip has invited members of the public to blow their own holiday ornaments. Many families in Charlottesville consider it an annual tradition, and return year after year.
Perfect for a date, a seasonal family get-together, or a holiday office party, Raging Buffalo Glass has appointments available from November through New Years Eve. $50 an ornament, each ornament made requires a 10 minute slot (Six ornaments an hour.)
